Permanent Infrastructure Project Manager
Job Description
My client is a regional civil engineering contractor who deliver a variety of infrastructure/roadws/highways projects throughout the South East and London. They are financially stable and have a healthy and profitable turnover of ?40-50m per annum.
Due to recent project wins, they are seeking to appoint a Project Manager to work out of their Surrey offices with you initial project being a c?6m scheme on the Surrey/Sussex borders.
Responsibilities
To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction
Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner
Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
Ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely
Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients
To deliver project schemes profitably and to time in order to further business opportunities
Requirements
Extensive experience of managing Civil Engineering projects of 5 to 10 million plus in value HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering desirable
Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative
