Permanent Electrical Engineer

Job Description

This is an immediate requirement for an Electrical Engineer with experience in the assessment and design of rail side electrical infrastructure and power supplies.

You will visit low voltage (LV) lineside electrical installations across the country to carry out site surveys and assess available electrical capacity for new apparatus being installed on the railway. This will involve undertaking one and seven day load monitoring tests, determining suitability of lineside supply and recommending provision of new DNO supplies. Following the load monitoring tests, you will analyse the results and write a report on your findings, containing potential design solutions.

To be considered, it is essential you meet the following:

• ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience as an Electrical Engineer in the Rail Sector.
• Experience carrying out LV Electrical Design Calcs.
• Familiarity with the Amtech Software Package.
• PTS Qualified with Valid Medical D&A Certificate.
• Current UK Driving Licence.
