Contract EHS Manager
Job Description
My client, at the forefront of the Rail industry, are consistently developing and surpassing current industry standards. Due to continued commercial growth and success they are currently recruiting for an EHS Manager, based in Euston, on a contract basis.
With previous experience in the field your main duties will to carry out Health and Safety and Environment activities in support of existing contracts, to develop Health and Safety and Environment plans for bids and proposals, to provide Health and Safety and Environmental input at project meetings, and to perform audits and monitor Health and Safety and Environment management practices on projects against ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 and objectives and targets
To complement the above you will be providing advice and guidance on good Health and Safety and Environment management practice to the Department, liaising with internal departments, sub-contractors and customers on Health and Safety and Environment matters and carrying out investigations into non-compliances to find root causes and to recommend the most effective corrective actions
To complete this role it is likely that you will have detailed knowledge of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment legislation and requirements and experience within Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (preferably gained in a railway environment) with NEBOSH/BSC or similar qualifications.
This contract will run for a minimum of 26 weeks initially and for your efforts and services you will be rewarded with a competitive rate of pay and a stable workload in the current economic climate.
