Job description:
|
Our client is currently looking for a Project Manager who has a back ground working on Heavy Civil projects ideally in the rail environment. The right candidate will have experience working on projects involving drainage, bridges, infrastructure, groundworks, and other rail structures.
The successful candidate will be involved with but not limited to:
• Co-ordination and management of Agents within the team to provide competent delivery of site activities
• Monitoring of Agent performance and multiple site activities
• Communication with existing clients and introduction of new clients to maintain sufficient enquiries and workload
• Prepare tenders and ensure competitive process are produced with health, safety and environmental issues incorporated
• Control of contract budget and ensure commercial success through management of budget and control of costs by application of company procedures in liaison with the finance and commercial departments
• Monitoring of site safety through inspections and review with Agents
• Implement arrangements for production of method statements, risk assessments and Project Management Plans
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments and Project Management Plans
• Ensure efficient management of resources to provide safe delivery of a quality end product with minimum risk to the environment
• Understand the contract including our obligations and commitments
• Monitor activity to enable claim of reimbursable costs and disruption in accordance with the contract
• Comply with Company policies and procedures ensuring our client meets its obligations under HASAW Act 1974 and other relevant statutes.
• Implement systems to ensure competent labour and sub-contractors are available and used to deliver the work safely and economically
• Co-ordinate with the Client project team to deliver the required end product
• Provide safety and performance briefings monthly to ensure staff and labour is aware of current standards and procedures
• Carry out appraisals of staff and implement disciplinary procedures where required |
